Taman Selatan Mosque

Information

The design approach was to do away with all of the traditional ornamentation often associated with the musolla and instead, focus on designing the musolla in a contemporary style. The design is void of many of the traditional embellishments that are normally placed onto a mosque building. The interplay of solids and voids are used to determine the exterior character of the building and a series of outdoor/indoor areas within the building. Large doorways are introduced at the prayer hall for natural lighting and good cross ventilation.
