The Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba: Evidence of column organization during their first construction s. VIII A.D

In this article, we intend to classify the columns of the first constructed sector of the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba to analyse possible clusters or to find a systematic organization of the columns. Through the use of statistical methods (multivariate analysis and cluster analysis), topographic surveys and the use of photogrammetry in each column; several clusters of shafts that could belong to different buildings have been found. In addition, a column organization system has been found. This provides important data to the construction system of the first mosque in Córdoba. The results obtained have opened a new line of research inside and outside the building.
