The mosque designed by Kang Emil – the greeting of Muhammad Ridwan Kamil – with his team in Urbane Indonesia in 2012 was officially opened June 25, 2015. If seen from outside the building, the front of the mosque looks triangular. Her beautiful calligraphy was printed on the outer wall of a square and round building at the top of the front door. Therefore – as stated earlier, the Jamie Darussalam Mosque looks unique and striking.
The main room of the Jamie Darussalam Mosque is indeed located on the second floor. The interior of the main room is equipped with a paved pulpit in the west, while the inner walls, both on the right and on the left side are triangular legs filled with meaningful and beautiful calligraphy. In terms of lighting, the interior of this room seems to be freely highlighted by daylight, whereas at night, the electric lights on the ceiling appear to illuminate the entire room without making a glare of worshipers.
