_Dos cedros aos Pampas. Memória da Imigração. Sírios e Libaneses no sul do Brasil (1890-1949)

Description

This work refers to the memory of the Syrian and Lebanese immigration in Rio Grande do Sul, in the period from the last decade of the 19th century until the end of the 1940s, more precisely between the years 1890 and 1949, a time span that corresponds to two generations, between the arrival, adaptation and integration of these immigrants. The objective of our work was to get to know the history of Levantine immigration in Rio Grande do Sul, but also its memory, which is present in several manifestations. For this, we used some of the available sources where we carried out systematic research, using diverse methodologies to be able to get closer to a part of the past.
